- The East Mountain Interagency Fire Protection Association will be hosting a "Fire Preparedness" meeting for our East Mountain Communities on June 26, 2008 (Thursday Evening) at 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Vista Grande Community Center. Directions: From I-40 north on Hwy 14, approximately 7 miles to La Madera Road, turn left approximately 1/2 mile to Vista Grande Community Center, turn right past ball field into the center. - 2008 Albuquerque Zone Fire Safety Training Schedule
- EMIFPA has created a CD containing fire-protection information for use by the public in preparing for, and protecting against, wildfire. Copies of the CD are available at the Sandia Ranger Station in Tijeras.
